Better Process
Expertise is the key to a better process, and expertise is the bedrock of our consistently high quality. Our facilities are purpose-built, using the very latest in manufacturing machinery and technologies. BA’s processes have been designed, developed and perfected over many years based on our unrivalled market experience and our own unique concept designs.
We boast a total of 16 CNC routers, including the largest automated board store and router complex in Europe. These routers create our designs on colour-matched board and advanced internal software uses an optimising system to plan production efficiently based on colour batches.
The production process for our acrylic doors uses the latest CNC edge banding lines which have been specifically designed to edge high gloss and acrylic materials. The PUR (Poly Urethane Reactive) gluing system applies a high heat and water resistant glue line, while the high precision trimming, polishing and buffing units leave a perfect edge every single time. Our pressed doors and accessories are produced on a total of six pressing lines in our Cookstown and Doncaster Factories. Four of these are fully automated robotic gluing, pressing and trimming lines, which are the most advanced of their kind in the world.
The company’s software calculates lay-up for the pressing process and this information is sent directly to screens for the press controllers. This adds hugely to the quality of the end product and has many added benefits over the more traditional, manual input. Advanced in-line cleaning machinery at pre-gluing and post-pressing stages further ensure consistently high quality at all stages of processing prior to final inspection, drilling and packing.
In Doncaster, our experience is equally unrivalled. Here, 5-piece doors are created on our own moulding and wrapping lines. Our use of the latest equipment and materials in their production and assembly means that they are amongst the best 5-piece doors available on the market today.
Final Inspection Process
With all of our door ranges and accessories, final inspection is a crucial part of the process, ensuring that every single product leaves our factories in first class condition.
Our attention to detail doesn’t stop at this stage – we understand the importance of careful packing and we make every effort to ensure that customers receive their goods in the same condition as they leave the factory. Sturdy cardboard boxes produced on our own box-making machinery are used, along with side and corner protection. We deliver to our customers daily throughout the UK and Ireland.
