Ready, Steady, Build that Kitchen they shouted down under!
On a recent business trip to Australia and New Zealand BA experienced some weird and wonderful things. One of them was this kitchen building competition…
Sounds a bit strange I hear you say but it was all for fun and for a good cause. Local teams from the Tassie Tornadoes to the Western Sharks came together to compete against each other to build a kitchen. The competition was fierce and the competitive streak in all the teams really came through. Men and women took part to try to win the coveted title for their team and it was great to watch.
The QLD Crocs were the lucky winners and as you can see, they were rather excited by their big win. The constructed kitchen was then up for auction on eBay to make much needed funds for for Oz Harvest. They are the first perishable food rescue organisation in Australia collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it, direct and free of charge. It was great to see our kitchens being put to good use!
Such a great idea for a great cause.
