Assessing and managing risk
In general, the Group considers its exposure to slavery/human trafficking to be relatively limited. Nonetheless, it has taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in its business nor the business of any organisation that supplies goods and/or services to it.
- All MDF/MFC supply is from FSC or PEFC certified materials, compliant with the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work within the forestry or forest products sector.
- We mitigate the risk of modern slavery occurring in our supply chains through due diligence checks in supplier agreements
- We monitor potential risks through carefully managed relationships and close collaboration throughout our supply chain and FSC/PEFC certification bodies respectively
Training
The Group provides training to staff to effectively implement its stance on modern slavery:
- Induction and refresher training for all employees of the Group’s modern slavery policy
