‘Cause everybody needs a little help sometimes’….as the song goes, there was never a truer word spoken or indeed sung and it’s no secret that we love to help! We nominate a charity every year and raise vital funds for that charity throughout the year at both our sites. When our customer Lark & Larks came to us about DIY SOS we were only delighted to help.
We spoke with Steve Larkin, the MD at Lark & Larks about how this opportunity to help came about;
‘We decided to take part in DIY SOS because we’ve been big fans of the show for years and jumped at the chance to help when DIY SOS contacted us about a local family who were in an unfortunate situation. We like to help out with local charity work each year and it feels great to be in a position to help. We also work closely with another charity http://hhho.org.uk/ that we have been supporting since it started about 5 years ago. We’ve helped this great charity in lots of ways over the years and get a great sense of satisfaction giving back to the local community.’
After speaking with the DIY SOS designer Gabrielle Blackman, Lark & Larks decided to send a sample of our Pronto range as it is always in stock and can be despatched within 48 hours. With such a quick turnaround, it was the obvious choice for them. Gabrielle decided to go with the Malton Hemlock Nordic, which was a great choice as it looked fantastic fitted along with curved units and black granite work-surfaces.
When the show was aired the couple were shown their brand new kitchen Steve from Lark & Larks tells us they were sure ‘it was biggest WOW they gave when it was revealed, so we’re over the moon and hope they enjoy their beautiful new home as a family for many years to come.’
‘We supplied and installed the whole kitchen for free with the help of BA and the fact that we manufactured the units ourselves also helped with costs. We would love to work on another project with DIY SOS again at some point in the future.’
