Undoubtedly the biggest colour trend the industry has seen this year is the desire to have blue in the kitchen and this blue trend is set to peak in 2018. This bold and dramatic move is for those who are brave and want to make a statement within the home. Kieran McCracken Creative Director at BA Components tells us;
“We’ve launched two new very different blues to our kitchen range; Baltic Blue and Matt Denim. The striking Baltic Blue is an Ultragloss finish and not for the faint hearted. In contrast, our new Matt Denim is a softer shade of blue in a matt finish which will look great on it’s own or teamed with a woodgrain door.”
Mixing and matching solid colours with woodgrain finishes is something that has proved extremely popular over the past 18 months. Consumers want to add texture and depth to their new kitchens and woodgrains are the way to do it.
To give the consumer even more variety, Components have launched the new Natural Walnut and Tortona Natural Oak for 2018. The deep and dark look from the Natural Walnut gives warmth to any kitchen and for those seeking a more traditional feel in the kitchen, Tortona Natural Oak reflecting fresh modern grey hues is the perfect fit.

In a world where handle-less and slab doors are taking over the kitchen industry; it may be surprising to some that the Shaker door is still a popular choice with kitchen buyers.
“In recent years we have experienced a 16% increase in Shaker style doors sales. Shaker offers distinctive yet practical styling as many consumers opt for a traditional design with unicolour matt finishes being very popular.” Kieran said.
