We had our first event for our new charity, Cancer Research on Friday 8th May. We took to the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown for our very first BA pub quiz. Raising much-needed funds for Cancer Research, the night was definitely great fun. With much coveted trophies to be won by both the winners and the losers, teams got very competitive as the knowledge in the room rocketed.
With food being served by the Greenvale at the interval, it was time for the teams to refuel their brain cells and get ready to commence battle in the second half.
In the end it was the ‘Let’s get Quizical’ team who beat ‘MC Hammer’ who were in the lead for the whole quiz! ‘Let’s get Quizical’ beat them by one point as they scored a massive ten out of ten in the final Disney round. Needless to say ‘MC Hammer’ were not happy!
Overall it was a tremendous night and we raised £620. Thanks again to the Greenvale Hotel for their great staff and service.
