After a failed attempt to get a BAFTA a couple of weeks ago, BA is proud to announce that we walked away with three Oscars last night*. Awarded during the commercial breaks (in an obvious attempt to not upstage the rest of the evening) the kitchen enthusiasts of Hollywood decided it was time to recognise one of Europe’s premier kitchen manufacturers.
We didn’t question it, and neither should you.
Like many movies that receive Oscars, you probably haven’t of this one either. Launching (very) soon are two stunning painted timber additions to our Pronto range; Thornbury and Hadley. Both 20mm 5-piece painted timber door ranges in matt finish from a warm palette of 6 subtle colour tones.
Our new doors were commended for their elegant simplicity and attention to detail. And you can see why. With refined wood grain patterning, Hadley is a definite move towards a traditional, contemporary crafted look. And Thornbury with its beaded detail delivers a timeless, incredibly beautiful backdrop to any kitchen. It will continue to impress for years to come – long after this year’s Best Picture winner receives its second remake!
Unlike the other awards handed out last night, when it came to awarding this category, there was no controversy over the winner. As the only 19mm MDF ‘full wrap’ J-Profile handleless door manufactured in the UK, Jayline runs home with the trophy. Sleek and minimalist in appearance, these doors give the highest heat and moisture resistance available, as they are laminated and edged with a PUR adhesive system. Jayline is already set to become a true classic.

A great night was had by all at the ceremony (we assume). The food was great, the wine wasn’t too watered down and there was plenty of gravy boats on the tables. Here’s to next year!
