Meet Chloe, Our Marketing Intern

Hey everyone, meet Chloe, our Marketing Intern.

Chloe Badger here and I have just joined BA Components Cookstown as their Marketing Intern. I came to BA because I am very interested in Digital Marketing and I figured that Clara and the rest of the team could teach me a few things. When I joined, I didn’t even know what MDF was!

I’m currently studying my foundation degree in Business Services Management, through University of Ulster at South West College, Dungannon. I believe in learn by doing and that’s why last year I quit the sheep farming and set up my own jewellery and scarf business on Facebook, Fabfor Less.

I was in Cookstown Young Farmers for seven years and ran it for three, but I left it in September to go on to bigger and better things. Before I left, we celebrated the YFCUs 85th Birthday and raised nearly £30,000 for a charity called Fields of Life in Uganda, through doing a sponsored Skydive with the Wild Geese in Garvagh. This taught me that I really could do anything if I put my mind to it.
To relax at the weekends, I like to go out to the country scene on a Saturday night for a bit of jiving. These aren’t grab-a-granny nights anymore (as lots of people think); there are actually a lot of people younger than me that attend these country nights.

So far here at BA, it’s unbelievable the amount I have done in such a short space of time. I’ve been kept busy with Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, to name but a few of the social media platforms that BA currently engage with people on. I feel as though I’m really starting to put my stamp on their social media by putting up slightly quirkier posts on their Facebook and Pinterest accounts.

This year marks the 25-year anniversary at BA Components and of course, something big and mad needs to be done to celebrate it. We are working on some surprises for all our dealers! We also have chosen Cancer Research as our charity for this year. We want to raise a worthy sum of money for them, as their work is so important.
I’m excited to see what my future holds and what I pick up whilst I’m here in BA.
