There is no denying that the digital sphere is changing how we live and how we do business. The first thing we do in the morning is look at our mobile phones and probably the last thing we do before we go to sleep at night. So it comes as no surprise that on average we look at our phones 150 times a day!
In a world where technology is moving so fast, it can be hard for schools to keep their teaching curriculum up to date with digital learning. Schools are being pressured into teaching their students out of date methodologies based on old school marketing and not aligning business and ICT studies with modern day digital marketing.
Technology has come a long way, even since I left school. This is why I offer my services to schools showcasing how BA Components use digital marketing within their business. Initially, this was just for an idea local schools in the area where I live however with the technology available, I am able to do live conference calls with schools anywhere. The first of which I successfully executed with St. Mary’s High School in Hertfordshire, North London. I spoke with the head of ICT prior to the live stream and discussed the student’s coursework requirements and designed my presentation around these needs.
It was a huge success and the students asked many questions regarding our digital marketing activity. It has enhanced their learning and understanding of digital marketing and also as a career choice.
Miss. Lyttle of St. Mary’s High School ICT Department told us ‘In sharing her knowledge, Clara has enabled our students to find out the practicality side of digital marketing and not just the theory. They got to see first hand how BA Components utilise digital marketing tactics within their business and thus the students were able to use these strategies in their level 3 coursework.’
