A vacancy has arisen for a ‘Product Manager’. This role is a permanent full-time position.
Responsible and accountable for the overall BA product offer, new product development, new product introduction and product end of life.
A hands-on role in managing and coordinating the whole product lifecycle.
Identifying market trends for colours and styles, liaising with décor suppliers, manufacturing colleagues and attending trade shows – both domestic and international.
Gathering and analysing information on competitor activity, identifying gaps in the existing offer and making supported recommendations for product additions and changes.
Lead and oversee the development of the BA range, managing and coordinating projects across multiple departments (purchasing, marketing, manufacturing, logistics etc). Responsible for the effective project management of product introductions and deletions, including effective liaison with internal producers of marketing material, product information and the online trading platform “MyBA”.
Provide regular clear reporting to the COO and other relevant stakeholders on project performance in line with business objectives. Work with team managers to identify and implement solutions to issues/problems. Maintain and develop own skills, knowledge and behaviours as well as keep up to date with relevant standards and changes
The role involves regular travel between UK operating sites and internationally to suppliers and trade shows.
Essential Qualifications/ Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Proven experience of managing a product portfolio – preferably within a KBB environment.
Product design qualifications/experience and familiarity with design software packages such as Solidworks, 2020 etc. Experience in managing projects and delivering products throughout the launch cycle. Degree level educated and/or relevant industry experience.
The ability to lead and engage with people. The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. A passion and commitment for continuous improvement, working with managers and teams to achieve excellent business results.
