Job Title: Factory Supervisor
Based At: Cookstown
Reporting To: Production Manager
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 07.00-16.00 Mon-Thurs
07.00-14.30 Friday (Official factory hours)
Salary: Will be negotiable

Purpose of Job Role

To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the CNC Router Division and all aspects relating to it within production.

Description of Job Role

  • Responsible for managing a team of 14 people
  • Responsible for achieving & reporting on daily production targets and KPI’s
  • Responsible for maintaining the quality of product at all times
  • Responsible for monitoring the efficiencies of all Routers and react accordingly
  • Report any breakdowns promptly to both the Maintenance Engineer and Production Manager and ensure that all machinery is efficiently maintained.
  • Assign work batches to all Routers periodically throughout the day
  • Check and maintain tooling on all machines and plan in advance the purchase of any new tooling or servicing of same
  • Perform appraisals along with the Production Manager as required
  • Take an overall view of the production process and ensure that the shop floor operates as a single unit
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety procedures are followed
  • Ensure that all set procedures are followed by continuous monitoring:
  • Housekeeping procedures, Production procedures, Rejecting faulty MDF board
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and solve on an ongoing basis
  • Identify where “best practice” is not being followed and advise on areas for continuous improvement
  • Be able to delegate responsibility to the appropriate person
  • Manage store accordingly – colours/stock/MDF etc.
  • Responsible for extraction system checks, faults, blockages, trailers
  • Along with HR perform interviews with employees
  • Be one of a number of people who investigate alarm calls after hours and report to Production Manager
  • Checks on boiler system, fans, dissapators
  • Alcohol/drug testing
